Where we start from

Chestnut Hill is the corner of Newton that touches Brookline, and 115 Grove St is where each working day begins. Everything below is measured from that address, which is why Newton, Brookline, Wellesley and Needham lead the list, and why a storm call in Medford waits a little longer for us than one in Waban.

Outer ring: up to about 30 miles

Beyond the inner ring we take jobs up to about 30 miles from Chestnut Hill: Lexington, Winchester and Weston; Natick and Framingham; Norwood and Canton; Braintree, Weymouth and Hingham; Lynn and Peabody. What changes with distance

Distance changes the schedule more than it changes the work.

  • Scheduling. In the inner ring a small repair fits between larger jobs; farther out we pair it with other work in that direction, so the date may come later.
  • Small jobs far out. A single loose panel in Natick or Braintree is still a job we take, not a call we turn away.
  • Storm damage. The 24-hour emergency service covers the outer ring as well as the inner.

How it works

  2. On the phone we say repair or replacement; a replacement gets a site visit and measurements.
  3. We set a date and do the work.

Repair or replace?

One bad spot is a repair: a panel that pulled loose, a corner board gone soft, a split shingle; see siding repair. A whole side gone, or housewrap missing behind it, is a replacement; see siding installation and replacement.

Do you come out to Framingham or Hingham for a small repair?

Yes; both sit inside the 30-mile ring. Send a picture and the street, and we will give you the next date a crew is headed that way.

Which towns can you reach fastest after a storm?

The Newton villages, about 5–15 minutes from Chestnut Hill, and Brookline, about 10. Wellesley, Needham and Watertown are about 15, and West Roxbury, Roslindale and Jamaica Plain about 10–20. Storm calls are taken 24 hours a day; drive time only decides which house we reach first.

Do you work in Boston itself, or only the suburbs?

Both. The Boston page covers the neighborhoods we reach most, West Roxbury, Roslindale and Jamaica Plain on the near side and Dorchester, Hyde Park and Allston-Brighton beyond them; their drive times are in the list above. A siding replacement in the city usually needs the city's building permit.

My town is not listed. Is it still in the service area?
